Why book a wedding videographer?

Why You NEED To Hire A Videographer For Your Wedding

If a picture tells a thousand words, why do you need a videographer for your wedding as well — after all, how many words does one wedding need? I know this is something many couples are unsure about — so if you’re wondering why you need a wedding videographer, you’re not alone! But I’m here to tell you it’s one of the best investments you can make on your wedding day.

Here’s everything you need to know about video and your wedding day!

REASONS TO HAVE A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

Why use a wedding videographer? I could go on and on … but I won’t! Instead, here’s a quick summary of the main reasons I’ve found that couples love having video captured on their magical day.

  1. INCREDIBLE STORYTELLING

A video can tell a story on a more multi-dimensional level, which complements your wedding album so beautifully.
Your wedding video will combine the energy of movement, sound, voice and all of the excitement and anticipation of your day, combined with a carefully selected soundtrack.

  1. RELIVE THE EMOTIONS OF YOUR WEDDING AT ANY TIME

One of the best reasons to have a wedding videographer is to remember the emotion of the day. Your wedding video will capture every emotion, intimate moment and raw vulnerability from your wedding. Each time you rewatch it, you can relive those treasured moments over and over. From those happy tears to your brother’s crazy moves on the dance floor, video is the only medium that can accurately capture these.
When you rewatch it, you can relive the same feelings you had on that day and the special interactions between loved ones. Whether it’s happy tears or silly champagne toasts, video is the only medium that’s able to capture those emotions and memories forever.

  1. THE POWER OF AUDIO RECORDINGS

Weddings are a rare moment when large families and groups of friends can gather in one place, which is why video can be so important — it captures the laughs, voices and conversations of your loved ones. As we age, remembering the joy, love, and happiness in the voices of our parents and grandparents is worth everything.

So, should you get a videographer for your wedding? Yes! It’s worth playing around with elements of your budget to see if you can make it work. I can recommend it, but so can the couples I’ve worked with. Read some of my reviews on Google.

  1. WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY BRINGS IT ALL TO LIFE

A wedding videographer will deliver moving pictures. It’s a much more immersive experience than purely looking at your wedding photos. So, where a photographer will deliver a still image, a wedding videographer will bring it to life and deliver something with movement. Instantly, a video becomes more captivating because it’ll bring back memories that simply cannot be caught with photography.

  1. TELL YOUR STORY

The beauty of a wedding video is that it combines everything you know about cinema, and packs it all into your wedding film:  Throughout beautiful footage carefully curated sound design, and background music, a wedding videographer will tell your story as if it were a mini-film. A movie always has key ingredients to structure the narrative: scene setting, characters, location, and ambient sound. We apply these principles in all of our wedding films.

  1. REMEMBER THE SPEECHES

One of the most underrated aspects of hiring a wedding videographer are the speeches. If you’re looking to deliver a speech, chances are you’ll be feeling nervous about speaking in front of a crowd. You have probably prepared your notes on small cards, to make sure you can remember to thank everyone, including your brides (Trust me, it has happened!).
You’ve put a lot of effort into it and thought about every word you want to say, so why not have a wedding videographer capture your speech on film, so you can watch it back?

  1. REMEMBER EVERYONE

Do you want to remember how much love surrounds you on your special day? Wedding videographers will aim to tell your story. And so much of this is about who you are as a couple, but also the bonds and love that will surround you on your wedding day: from both friends and family. Those close ones you’ll want to remember forever.
